Unidentified group has set alight various national dailies

In Lahan of Siraha district this morning an unidentified group has set alight various national dailies news paper.

The group burnt around 400 copies of the Kantipur national daily, The Kathmandu Post, Saptahik, Hello Shukrabar and other newspapers kept for sale in front of Sita Nobel News Center at Lahan.

According to Centre’s proprietor Dinesh Dev, Newspapers were burning when he reached to open his shop in the morning. “The newspapers were in flame when I reached the shop. Nothing is known who burnt the newspapers and why,” he said.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Ilaka Police Office Lahan, Rajesh Thapa, said investigation is going on regarding the incident. Some days back newspapers like Kantipur and The Kathmandu Post among others that were delivered to the Sita Nobel News Centre were found stolen.
