 Police arrested three persons including two minors in possession of banned cough syrup Corex from Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan city on Sunday.

The arrestees- Arun Tamang (24), Subash Tamang (15) and Bijay Tamang (15) of Indrasarowar Rural Municipality were arrested while en route to Kathmandu on a water tanker. Police intercepted the trio and found two litres of the banned contraband hidden in the vehicle.

Police impounded the vehicle and initiated legal proceedings against the arrestees under Narcotic Drugs Control Act.
