Supreme Court will open for four hours during Dashain

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the writ petition of habeas corpus during Dashain holiday from 11 AM to 3 PM.

According to Deputy Registrar of the Supreme Court Devendra Dhakal, the writ petition will be heard on days other than Ghatasthapana, Saturday and Vijaya Dashami.

As the Supreme Court will be closed from Ghatasthapana to Kojagrat Purnima on October 20, according to the Justice Administration Act, 2073 BS, only habeas corpus cases will be heard in that period.

On Tuesday, a full sitting of the Supreme Court decided to hear the writ petition of habeas corpus on Dashain holiday and appoint judges for the same.
