Devotees can now make monetary offerings at Pashupatinath from the ‘QR Code’ system.
The monetary offering could be offered from QR Code kept at four different places of Pashupatinath including the south entrance gate, the shoe and slipper room, and the main temple premises. A machine has been kept there for the same.
The monetary offering could be deposited at the bank account of Pashupati Area Development Trust from an online payment system by using mobile. It is learned that the system would help control the misuse of monetary offerings.
An agreement in this regard has been signed today at the collaboration of the Pashupati Area Development Trust and Bank of Kathmandu Ltd.
Inaugurating the QR Code system today, Governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank, Maha Prasad Adhikari, said that this system should be developed across the nation.
He laid emphasis on the need of creating awareness across the nation in this regard.
According to Member Secretary of PADT, Dr. Pradeep Dhakal” The technology will facilitate making monetary offerings”.
Chairperson of Bank of Kathmandu Ltd, Prakash Shrestha, shared that this service would be started in other shrines of the country as well.
