The NEPSE index closed at 2,672.25 today after gaining 87.63 points from yesterday’s closing. The index had gained 27.51 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,588.75 and did not trade anywhere lower than that. It then closed at the intraday high of 2,672.25.
A total of 8,395,864 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 4.308 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday’s turnover of Rs. 2.773 Arba. 229 scrips traded hands via 53,792 transactions.
Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 16.25 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 605 per share. The units of National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) traded the most.
At least 32 scrips have technically hit the 10% positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, 9% Shangrila Development Bank Debenture, 2087 (SDBD87) lost the most 4%.
All sectors gained today. Finance gained the most 7.81%.
