Nepal records 315 new cases, 304 recoveries and two deaths on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, Dec 7: Nepal recorded 315 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday along with 304 recoveries and two deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

As many as 11,810 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 272 PCR and 43 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 6,505 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 6,013 are in home isolation, 339 in institutional isolation, 123 in ICU’s and 30 on ventilators. Similarly, 98 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,545 people have died from the virus across the country.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 122 cases of the virus on Tuesday. Of them, 82 were recorded in Kathmandu, nine in Bhaktapur, and 31 in Lalitpur districts.
