Nepal Infrastructure Bank (NIFRA) Proposes First Dividend Less than a Year After Listing

Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA) has proposed an 8.5% cash dividend for the fiscal year 2077/78.

The meeting of the board of directors held on Ashwin 04 decided to distribute the cash dividend from the paid-up capital of Rs. 20 Arba. As of writing, NIFRA has an LTP of Rs. 365.

The company had reported a slight decline in net profit in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2077/78. The net profit slightly decreased to Rs. 83.64 crores from Rs. 84.71 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The net interest income (core business revenue) of the bank had increased to Rs. 1.33 Arba in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, the operating profit increased by 7.92% to Rs. 1.18 Arba.

The bank’s EPS stood at Rs. 4.18 and net worth per share stood at Rs. 112. The company traded at a P/E multiple of 117.64 times.
