Hearing on Home Minister Lamichhane’s citizenship related case to continue today

The case related to the citizenship and passport of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane is continuing today in the constitutional bench of the Supreme Court.

On January 25, the case was kept in abeyance as the argument from both sides was not completed. On that day, the arguments of Home Minister Lamichhane and the lawyers of the Public Prosecutor’s Office were not over.

Questioning Lamichhane’s eligibility to be a member of parliament, advocate Rabiraj Basaula and others filed a petition on December 14 demanding the cancellation of Lamichhane’s position as MP.
