Govt won’t help Nepal Airlines Corporation repay loan

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has clarified that the government will not help the national flag carrier, Nepal Airlines Corporation, repay its loan.

Speaking at a function organised on the occasion of the Corporation’s anniversary on Monday, the prime minister also demanded that the Corporation prepare a new plan to improve its economy.

he Prime Minister also expressed his fear that if the government supported the Corporation to repay loan now, it would continue seeking for such help every year.

“Rather, management and operation should improve. It has to be reflected on your practice,” he said, suggesting the Corporation should explore new destinations.

The Prime Minister claimed he had talked about exploring the new destinations with the concerned officials during his recent Europe trip.
