Dhankuta, January 5
A biographical film on Madan Puraskar recipient Jhamak Kumari Ghimire will be screened in cinemas from April 5.
At a press meet organised in Dhankuta today, director Binod Bista said the biopic was based on Ghimire’s book ‘Jiban Kanda Ki Ful’. Ghimire had written ‘Jiban Kanda Ki Ful’ with her feet in one-and-a-half year. Ghimire’s book received the coveted Madan Puraskar in 2011.
At the press meet, Ghimire urged all to provide comments after watching the film. Actors Awastha Thapa and Rojina Bajracharya have played leading roles in the film.
Thirty-eight years old Ghimire was born at Kachide in Dhankuta Municipality and has contributed immensely to Nepali literature by writing dozens of books despite being born with cerebral palsy.
