Blacktopping of the Bhojpur-Khotang road section along the Pushpalal Mid-hilly Lokmarga has been expedited of late.
In the first phase of road upgradation work, the seven-km road section from Shera Khola to Bhojpur district headquarters is being blacktopped.
The contractor company said road upgradation at Deurali, Shera Khola, Setibagar and Chakhewabhanyjang would be completed by September-October, 2020.
Golden Construction Company stated the blacktopping work had been divided into four phases.
Site in-charge of the company Dangi Sherpa said upgradation work of the mid-hilly lokmarg had started in September-October, 2017.
“Blacktopping of the road from Deurali to Sherakhola will be completed in September-October, 2019,” he informed.
The locals are elated to see the ongoing road upgradation work. Mahesh Shrestha, a local, said after the road was upgraded they would find it safe to travel along the road and would reach their destinations without any obstruction.
