Baglung’s 65-Year Old COVID-19 Patient Recovers, To Be Discharged Shortly

Pokhara, Apr. 18: A 65-year old female of Baglung, sixth COVID-19 patient of Nepal, who had been infected by COVID-19 has recovered from the illness and tested negative for the virus.

She was receiving treatment at Dhaulagiri Zonal Hospital, Baglung, in isolation and she tested negative for the virus in two consecutive PCR tests.

Her test had reported COVID-19 negative on Thursday and she again tested negative on Saturday. This means she has recovered, said Dr. Sailendra B. Pokharel, Medical Superintendent at the hospital.

He said that preparations were going on to discharge her.

“She will be discharged either today in the evening or tomorrow morning,” Pokharel added. “Her medications will continue and she will be staying in home quarantine for two weeks.
